What is UVC?<\/h2><\/div>
UV-C light, also known as Far UV-C light is a range of UV light between 200-300 nm (nanometers) and is also known as UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation). UV-C light is most well known for use in disinfecting and deactivating bacteria, viruses and pathogens and has been used for many years by Healthcare institutions.<\/p>\n

Through innovation and advancement of technology, UV-C LED lights have these days become a viable method for disinfecting areas outside of the standard healthcare environment, one of which is handrails on escalators. Handrails are already known to be one of the top 5 most bacteria infected areas in shopping malls, airports and hospitals.<\/div><\/div>
